Components of Emotional Intelligence

The theory of components of emotional intelligence ties together a couple of key concept variables to the equation of successful leadership. There are five principles of practice for components of emotional intelligence. The first component is self awareness, which is the ability of consciously being aware and in touch with self feelings and emotions. The second component is self regulation, which is the ability to control assorted feelings and emotions without bias. Third, self motivation is the ability to stay positive and have an outlook that the "glass is half full". Fourth, empathy for others is a component that is an ability that allows you to put yourself in other's shoes. Last but not least, is inner personal and social skills, which is the ability to create and carry on positive bonds with others.
